Clinical Perspectives, New Resources & Practice Updates

At Silhouette Psychotherapy, our work is grounded in a systems-informed, structurally informed, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and neurodivergence-affirming approach to care. We remain committed to developing thoughtful, individualized clinical services and original educational resources that deepen our understanding of neurodivergent experience.

This season brings several updates across our practice, including new publications, developments in our educational offerings, and current clinical availability. We are pleased to share what is new, what is in development, and what our community can look forward to in 2027.

Our Clinical Philosophy: Understanding the Whole Picture

At Silhouette Psychotherapy, we understand that the distress experienced by high-masking autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults cannot always be understood by observing external appearances alone. Meaningful clinical understanding also requires attention to the often camouflaged internal experiences as well as the relationships, institutions, cultural expectations, and environments in which a person has lived.

We pay particular attention to the cumulative impact of repeated misinterpretation, relational misattunement, and microaggressions experienced by neurominority individuals. Many Autistic, ADHD and AuDHD adults are navigating the long-term effects of being repeatedly misunderstood, having their internal experiences misread or corrected, being expected to adapt to environments that do not accommodate their natural state of being, or having their needs minimized -- all of which can exact a profound toll over time.

These experiences may contribute to chronic self-doubt, exhaustion, disconnection, and trauma-related distress, even when a person may simultaneously be highly capable on the outside - whether consistently or intermittently.

Our clinical work takes these experiences seriously. Rather than automatically locating the source of distress within the individual, we consider the interaction between personal history, relational dynamics, environmental demands, and broader structural conditions.

For us, neurodivergence-affirming care means taking the whole picture seriously.

Therapy Intensives: An Update

Our ten neurodivergence-specialized topical therapy intensives launched on September 1, 2026. Due to high demand, these offerings have now transitioned to waitlist status.

We anticipate resuming live intensives in 2027 while expanding the ways our community can engage with this work beyond live offerings.

Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in these intensives. We appreciate the enthusiasm surrounding their launch and look forward to sharing further updates as our 2027 offerings take shape.

Looking Ahead to 2027: An Expanding Educational Library

We are developing an expanded library of educational and self-study materials for our community, with plans for additional offerings in 2027.

Our anticipated development includes:

  • Webinars

  • Courses

  • New trainings

  • Digital workbooks

  • Self-study resources

  • Additional clinician-facing educational materials

These resources will provide further opportunities to engage with our work outside the context of live clinical offerings.

We are particularly excited to continue developing materials that make our frameworks available in multiple formats, allowing individuals to explore the topics that interest them at their own pace.

More information about forthcoming resources and educational offerings will be shared as development progresses. Stay tuned for more in 2027.

Clinical Availability: Late 2026 and 2027

For those seeking neurodevelopmental assessments for autism, ADHD, and AuDHD, we have a limited number of 2026 openings and 2027 assessment bookings are underway. Please reach out if you are interested and if you'd like to learn more about our approach - SEE DETAILS HERE.

Our mixed-neurotype couples therapy spots, individual therapy spots, and neurodivergence-specialized therapy intensives are fully booked for the remainder of 2026. We anticipate openings for each of these service types at some time in 2027.

We are deeply appreciative of everyone who has reached out, expressed interest in our services, or joined our waitlist. Thank you for your patience and for your interest in working with Silhouette Psychotherapy.

We understand that finding specialized care can take time, and we are grateful that our work continues to resonate with the community we serve. We look forward to reaching back to explore as space allows in 2027 and hope in the interim that some of our website materials may be helpful and of interest.

Clinical Consultation and Training for Professionals

Alongside our direct clinical services, we continue to offer neurodivergence-specialized clinical consultation and clinical training.

Our consultation and training services are informed by the same systems-focused, structurally informed, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and neurodivergence-specialized as well as neuro-affirming commitments that guide our clinical practice.

We are also preparing additional clinician-facing materials for 2027. These resources will complement our broader educational library and provide further opportunities for clinicians to engage with our work.

We look forward to expanding this part of our practice while continuing to offer specialized consultation and training.
